Charged with the responsibilities of infrastructural project design and documentation. Setting standards and Specifications.

• Design appropriate buildings   that take into account climatic and local conditions such as ventilation,   proper lighting etc. Example of such buildings is the Vice President’s   office.

• Guides all MDAs in construction   cost( Bill of Quantity) review and

• Provides both office and   residential Accommodation for other MDAs and officials

• Design and Construction of   Internal Airfields, Wharfs, Jetties, Mini Hydro and Drainage Infrastructure

• Design,   maintenance of storm drains and other hydraulic structures not connected with   roads

• Liaises with National and   International agencies involved in building design and construction 

•  Sets guidelines in design   construction and the use of standard building codes 

•  Setting up Technical Standards   and Specifications for the Construction Industry
